Jaylon Calhoun spent his formative years in California's Bay area. Having always believed that education was the key to success, upon graduating from high school, he chose a career path in Information Technology, graduating from City College of San Francisco, Ca. He continues that emphasis being accepted to Penn State.
Jay served in the military from 2010-2013, CPL Calhoun was a proud member of the Army. It was during this time he began to see the uniqueness of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, serving in the Army. Their strength, valor, and honor inspired Jay to be a servant leader, not only during his time in the military but when he returned home from active service.
2011 saw many changes in Calhoun’s life. He married and since then has become the father of 3 children, one age 12 and two age 8.
It was at this time that he felt a calling and decided after many souls searching to become a minister.
In 2015, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and founded Anointed Radio Network LLC. The business has gone on to be nominated for numerous awards for excellence in our field.
Jay’s civic and community life began to take on an even more political when, the then Mayor Wade Harper tapped Jay to be his Special Ambassador to the Mayor, for the City of Antioch, California in 2013-2014. In his official capacity, Jay would fill in for the Mayor at official functions, public meetings, and presentations.
Jay continued to serve his community as a Coach of Football at DOHS … and Head Coach of Girl Soccer at Rancho High School.
Jay has served his country, his teams, his congregation and now he wants to serve his community on a new level, as your next House Representative in Assembly District 35.
Patriot Boot Camp has been on a mission to assemble and activate an inclusive community that advances military members, veterans, and military spouses in their mission to become creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs leading the new economy.
